Treatments and Prices

Current prices for home, care home, nursing home, work visits for ear wax treatment:

£40 for clinical examination of both ears and treatment of one ear.  

£60 for clinical examination of both ears and treatment of both ears.  

If it is not safe to remove excess ear wax at first appointment or if advised that the removal should be done over two sessions, the second session is free of charge. 

Clients outside of a 30 minute travel time may be subject to an additional charge. This would be discussed at time of booking.

Water irrigation also known as ear syringing or ear irrigation, is a long established, safe and effective ear wax treatment used by healthcare professionals for the removal of earwax. 

The procedure involves using an electronically controlled flow of warm water to dislodge and flush out wax, debris, or foreign objects from your ear canal. 

It is a safe, non-invasive procedure to reduce the risk of injury or discomfort.

Microsuction ear wax removal also known as ear vacuuming is considered one of the gold standard methods for ear wax treatment.  

It is a highly effective way to remove ear wax and debris using a dry, gentle suction device. The clinician is able to directly view the ear canal and drum using magnifying loupes, increasing safety and reducing the risk of injury.

Microsuction is suitable for people with ear infections, perforations and previous surgery. 

It is a slightly noisy procedure.

Manual ear wax removal involves the use of specialised tools such as crocodile forceps, or a Jobson Horne probe to remove ear wax from the outer part of the ear canal. 

This method is particularly useful for precise removal of solid wax or foreign bodies that other techniques might not effectively achieve. 

Manual removal is often used in conjunction with the more advanced techniques of water irrigation and microsuction.
